I have read the interesting article telling about nicknames. I was curious about the nicknames of the states. I know Florida is called the sunshine state, California is called the gold states. But how about Virgina? What's the nickname of Virginia?
And it was very interesting that although everyone knows New york city is called Big Apple, nobody knows its origin! Who knows the answers for my questions?

Today we learned about listening and reading. I like both and I think we need more practice for learning language. we read summary of information about custom and history Americansucch as Nicknames,Melting Pot,sending cards for all Occasions.
In the listening we heared subject free cellphone and telemarking at the newspaper.
Those were great and intersting for us.

I learned today how can avoid telemarkes, and don't buy any thing by phone,and we learned the mining the salad bowl.The class was interesting today,but like always say the we need merr time.I like the comprehention it's was very importat tome. today in class I can practice more listening and reading.I practice the four topics, the cell-phone, telemarketing,the trivia game and the school report. and the reading I can practice the first topics the melting pot or salad bowl.the listening the more interesting I think so is the telemarketing because today I know is trick.
Today's computer class was so great and funny.Especially, listening part helped me a lot.
Listening part of "Telemarketing" and "Trivia Game Show" have each text with blank. I had to fill out the blank. That task was interested
to me.
In our computer class today, we learn about telemarker,cell phone the teeneger her father want to buy, nickname,salad bowl,incluid read, listen and make summarize. Once of the story was fine for my is the teeneger because I have experience with my son he want a cell phone and every things came new for him.
Today,we learned listening comprehension. I was learned so slow.because my listening no good either.I treid again and again to answer the questions .But I learned some new words , it made me feel good.I like to practice more listening skills.
Today I learned English by computer, English computer,the conversation talked verry fast,I must hear again and again and anwer the question,the sound is too big,I feel headache because I didn't control the sound lower.I hope next time I will be better.Thank you teacher helped me practice English.
First, I would like to tanks both of my teachers for the great job. It's a pleasure to study with them. They make my learning process more pleasant and enjoyable.
Today, I liked listening exercises, because I think they could improve my listening comprenhention. I think the first one (A free cell phone), was the most difficult, because the speking was so far. I had to hear it three times to understand it, but this kind of exercise is very good for my listening.

Today I have had a interesting class. I read some istories whit interesting topics and new vocavulary. One of my favory was "Thank God Today is Friday" I think a lot people don't like mondays, becuase after two days off many people feel tired and don't want to star another long week. Some people who relly love what they do they don't mind working mondays.thank fatima and leslie.
I was interested in listening about telemarkting. Whenever it makes me worried and I have a big problem anyone called. I used to answered I don't interesting. I need more listening skills.
As every Friday,today we had computer class.we learned diferent things such comprehensive,lestning and more.It wss very important,because everybody in this class needs to find out how well he/she has done this term.we also learned about some american cultures.I liked so much,because it helped me to get some information and correct some concepts.for example,before,I didn't understand,why american people use nicknames,but my view becomes very clear.and I thank that will help me a lot to change my mind about seceral things in this coutry.
